Inside Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus' Emmy Awards date night
In Hollywood, there's no better barometer for relationship gravitas than accompanying one's sweetheart to his or her industry-appropriate awards show. For "Saturday Night Live" producer Lindsay Shookus, that awards show was the Emmys — and her decision to take Ben Affleck to ceremony proves the new couple is playing for keeps. Ben and Lindsay, who started dating either in April or prior to Ben's split from Jennifer Garner, depending on who you ask, spent some time catching up with Larry David producer and comic Jeff Garlin and sportscaster Charissa Thompson. When Lindsay's show won the Emmy for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series, a spy tells Us Weekly Ben "jumped up and cheered" for his girlfriend. "He's sitting with all of 'SNL' in the center of the theater. He's clearly her plus-one," said the source. Later, the pair stopped by the HBO afterparty, where another partygoer said Ben was "very animated" and seemed to be enjoying making folks laugh while Lindsay draped her arm around his shoulder. Before calling it a night, Ben and Lindsay popped into the Governors Ball. "He was doting on her, running [his hand on] her back and smiling," a source told Us.

Chris Pratt praises Anna Faris' Emmy Award presentation
Chris Pratt and Anna Faris just announced their separation last month and they're already giving us post-split goals a la Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner. While Anna was busy presenting an Emmy Award with her onscreen mother "Allison Janney," Chris was ambushed by a TMZ reporter in Los Angeles who wanted to know why he wasn't at the award ceremony. "I guess I wasn't invited," Chris said, adding that he hasn't checked his mailbox lately in an apparent attempt not to engage with the paparazzo. When the reporter asked whether Chris had watched any of the show since his ex was appearing on it, he offered a gentlemanly response. "I know she was great, she did an amazing job," he said. He also shouted-out Anna's costar Allison, then plugged their show, telling TMZ viewers, "Go watch 'Mom' on CBS." Anna's Emmy presentation marked her first official public appearance since her split.

Prince Harry is apparently 'a great kisser'
For the past decade, Prince Harry's group of friends has included The Killers drummer Ronnie Vannucci, who recently opened up about the pair's friendship with NME. "I knew nothing about the royals so when I met him he was just a dude. I'm a dude in a band and he's a dude in London," he said casually. Although Harry has long since knocked off his partying ways to focus on his work with wounded vets — and his widely discussed relationship with Meghan Markle — it sounds like he shared at least a few wild nights with Ronnie, who joked, "Oh, y'know he's a great kisser," before explaining, "We became pals 10 years ago. We just got along." Given the timing and the fact that The Killers hail from Las Vegas, the mag also asked whether Ronnie and his crew had anything to do with Harry's now infamous naked pool party in Sin City. "That was not my fault," Ronnie assured NME. "I wasn't there for that one."

Why didn't Laura Dern hug Reese Witherspoon when she won her Emmy?
"What did Reese Witherspoon do to Laura Dern?" That's what more than a few Twitter users were asking after Laura's Emmy win on Sunday, Sept. 17. When Laura's name was called, cameras showed the actress standing to hug her daughter Jaya. As she continued accepting congrats hugs in her seating area, she moved swiftly past Reese and put her arms around Nicole instead. First-time Emmy jitters? Maybe. Although it's not the first time whispers of conflict have hit the stars of "Little Big Lies." In March, Star magazine published a claim that Reese and Nicole were feuding over Nicole's promotion — or lack thereof — of their series. The story was later debunked.

Get ready to gather 'round the Mariah boob tube again, little lambs. Mariah Carey is headed back to reality TV. A source tells the New York Post that despite the poor ratings "Mariah's World" got after its premiere, VH1 is planning film a new series about the singer pegged to her next tour. "'Mariah's World' was always planned to be an eight-part TV event," the insider explains. "But now she is planning a huge world tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of 'Butterfly' to start early 2018. It will be similar to U2's 'Joshua Tree' tour. VH1 is set to film a docuseries that will capture the behind-the-scenes of her tour." While another insider told the tab E! would have ordered more episodes of "Mariah's World" had the ratings not dropped "drastically," reps for the singer did not comment on the rumored VH1 series.

"'Mo' better blues' first session on my brother @champagnepapi , thanks as usual for your trust," Inal captioned the shot, which shows Denzel holding a trumpet a la Spike Lee's "Mo Better Blues" film. According to Inal's Instagram, Drake also got a tat in honor of his friend Fif's face with the words "forever Fif" above his head. His other tats include the camouflage shark he got to match with then-girlfriend Rihanna's camouflage shark tattoo, a portrait of Sade and a bottle of Drakkar Noir.

"I have two little girls, Sunny and Faith, and my darling Keith, who I asked to help me pursue this artistic path and they have to sacrifice so much for it. So this is yours," Nicole said in her speech as her husband got visibly emotional (via ET)."I want my little girls to have this on their shelf and to go, 'Every time my mama didn't put me to bed, it's because of this. Miley Cyrus on her break from Liam Hemsworth: We needed to grow individually
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are taking it slow this time around. Speaking to The Sun, Miley explained how she and her boyfriend are approaching their rebooted relationship differently from the way they were proceeding before they called off their engagement in 2013. For starters, there is no wedding in the works, despite rumors to the contrary. "I don't envision marriage. I'm 24. I hope I get to live a little bit more. I have too much living to do [before I get married]," Miley said (via the Daily Mail). "Three years ago, if you'd asked me if I'd be here, this happy with this man, I'd have been stunned." She went on say taking time off from the relationship helped them both grow. Now, she feels being with him helped her develop a better understanding of who she is. "In some relationships, you lose yourself by being with someone else. Actually, it made me find myself more," she said. "I didn't know [we'd get back together]. I'm so crazy I have no idea," she continued. "But I had something in my heart, it never felt like it was really over. We kept a great friendship really private. … It's good for people to have that space to grow individually. Otherwise when you're with someone from 16 until 24, you grow into the same person. … We got to become individuals. I hope everything stays the same. It feels like nothing changed except we grew up a lot."
Kate Walsh reveals she had a brain tumor removed in 2015
As an advocate for Cigna's TV Doctors program, Kate Walsh promotes the importance of preventative care. It's something she has personal experience with, as it turns out. Kate recently revealed to Cosmopolitan that she had a brain tumor removed two years ago. She also pointed out that she had to fight to get an MRI and see a neurologist after she started experiencing strange symptoms. "My pilates instructor said 'hey, your right side is dipping,' and it didn't feel like I was off, but I looked down and could see it," she recalled. Then when I was driving, I started swerving into the right lane. The exhaustion got to the point where I could drink five cups of coffee and still not feel awake or clear. And then around April, I started having more cognitive difficulties. It felt like aphasia, but it wasn't just not being able to find words; I would lose my train of thought, I wasn't able to finish sentences, and that was when I got really alarmed." Kate went on to detail how going with her gut ended up being the best thing she could have done. "I thought maybe it was menopausal symptoms, because there are a lot of the same markers, but I really pushed to see a neurologist, I just had an instinct," she said. "I had to really advocate, because they don't hand out MRIs so easily, but I got an MRI and thank God I did, because it turned out I had a very sizable brain tumor in my left frontal lobe. And three days later I was in surgery having it removed." Ultimately, it turned out to be a benign meningioma. "It was over 5cm, like a small lemon in my head, causing quite a bit of damage: there was a lot of swelling, and I had starting getting shooting pains in my head," she said. "As much as it was scary, I was sort of in robot mode once I found out. I was relieved that I could get in with a great doctor and one of the most amazing surgeons in the world, and have them take care of it. I had the MRI and three days later I was in surgery, and it was benign and they were able to get all of it."
