Taylor Swift took the stand in a Denver courtroom on Aug. 10 and accused a former radio DJ of groping her at a 2013 concert meet-and-greet. Under oath, she said David Mueller "grabbed my a– underneath my skirt," calling it a "devious and sneaky act." "It was a definite grab, a very long grab. He stayed latched on to my bare as– cheek as I moved away from him, visibly uncomfortable," she said, adding that "It was a very shocking thing that I have never dealt with before. After this happened, it was like a light switched off my personality." The DJ said he touched her on the ribs. The country-turned-pop star has made it clear that she doesn't want money — she's wants to prove a point. David sued Taylor in 2015, claiming she'd falsely accused him of groping her, which in turn got him fired from his job. Taylor later countersued for assault and battery, but is only seeking $1 in damages.

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris split
Say it ain't so! Chris Pratt and Anna Faris announced on Aug. 6 that they've split up after eight years of marriage (and Aug. 6 was also the day that true love officially ended, judging from Twitter's meltdown). Chris wrote on Facebook, "Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we're really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another." Anna released a similar statement on Instagram. Many scratched their heads as they questioned the reason for the split (some even inexplicably blamed Chris's old co-star Jennifer Lawrence!), but TMZ reported on Aug. 8 that the two had different views on life. She supposedly wants more kids and fairly traditional family that has a firm home base. He reportedly doesn't want more kids for now and is more than willing to travel for work, which Anna doesn't want. Us Weekly reported that Chris and Anna disagree on a religious front too. The former couple shares son Jack, who will turn 5 this month. Still, there is reportedly no bad blood between the two.

Sexuality talk
Aaron Carter came out as bisexual on Aug. 5 — and the next day, it was revealed that he and his girlfriend had split. His sexuality, he wrote, was something that has weighed on him for more than half his life. "This doesn't bring me shame, just a weight and burden I have held onto for a long time that I would like lifted off me," he wrote on Twitter. "I grew up in this entertainment industry at a very young age and when I was around 13-years-old I started to find boys and girls attractive. There were years that went by that I thought about, but it wasn't until I was 17-years-old, after a few relationships with girls, I had an experience with a male that I had an attraction to who I also worked with and grew up with." On Aug. 9, Aaron told "The Bert Show" that his sexuality was a factor in his breakup with photographer Madison Parker. "I had discussed it with my ex-girlfriend, and she didn't really understand it. She didn't want [to]," he explained. "And that was it. So we left it mutual and parted ways."
Surprise baby
Surprise, surprise! On Aug. 8, it was confirmed that Andy Samberg and wife Joanna Newsom, a musician, had secretly welcomed a baby girl. The couple hadn't even announced that they were expecting! Talk about being uber-private about your personal lives! When asked about being a father during a TCA panel for "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" on Aug. 8, Andy said, "It's wonderful. That's a new project, yes. That takes up a lot [of time]. They're in charge."

Split!
It's curtains for Amber Heard and billionaire Elon Musk. On Aug. 5, The Mail on Sunday reported that the couple of a year had broken up. A source told the paper, "It's all over between Amber and Elon and she's devastated. It was his decision. He ended it a week ago. He'd heard certain things about her behavior that didn't sit well with him." It was just a few months ago that Amber's own father thought a wedding was in their future. "Amber and Elon are both very serious about each other. She would love to get married," he told Grazia. "One of the things they want to do is settle down and have a family. They are making plans for that." On Aug. 8, Elon confirmed the split himself. "Btw, just to clear up some of the press storm this weekend, although Amber and I did break up, we are still friends, remain close and love one another," he wrote on Instagram. "Long distance relationship when both partners have intense work obligations are always difficult, but who knows what the future holds." Amber addressed the split on Instagram too, writing, "Although we have broken up, Elon and I care deeply for one another and remain close."
Inheritance
Billie Lourd will inherit at least $6.8 million from her late mother, Carrie Fisher. Court records show that the young actress will get her mom's personal property worth that amount and could also get more, because the probate case does not reflect money that could be in trusts. The "Star Wars" legend died on Dec. 27 just a few days after suffering a heart attack while flying from London to Los Angeles. It was later revealed that at the time of her death, she had cocaine, heroin and ecstasy in her system.
Hospitalized
Sinéad O'Connor was hospitalized after posting a lengthy video in which she said she was depressed, suicidal and living at a Travelodge motel in New Jersey. In her weepy 12-minute video shared on Aug. 3, Sinéad said, "I'm all by myself. And there's absolutely nobody in my life except my doctor, my psychiatrist, the sweetest man on earth, who says I'm his hero, and that's about the only… thing keeping me alive at the moment, the fact that I'm his bloody hero, and that's kind of pathetic." The troubled singer added that she is fighting to stay alive because "I love the people that are going this to me. I'm not staying alive for me. If it was for me, I'd be gone." On Aug. 9, a South Hackensack Police Department spokesman said the singer had been hospitalized.
Scary fan incident
A man was arrested after running onto the stage during Britney Spears' performance in Las Vegas on Aug. 9. Security and her backup dancers immediately took the man down as he tried to get near the singer. Video shows the pop star finishing a song, somewhat unaware of what's happening behind her. "Is everything okay? What's going on?" she could be heard asking security as she notice the fracas. She then wondered if the man had a gun, but was ushered away before finding out. Police later said the man, Jesse Webb, 37, was arrested for trespassing. "Webb was asked to leave the concert by security prior to him jumping on stage and dancing," Las Vegas police said in a statement.
A new teen mom
Mama June Shannon's 17-year-old daughter, Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon, is expecting. The soon-to-be teen mom announced on WeTV's website, "Hey guys, guess what? I'm pregnant! I don't know what I'm having yet, but if I had to bet because of all the girls in our family, I'm probably having a girl." During her vulgarity-laced announcement on Aug. 7, Pumpkin lamented what she hates about being pregnant, but said she is excited about being a mother. "I'm really excited to be a new mom, but there is some challenges that I'm going to have to face," she said, adding that she's nervous about the actual birth because "My baby daddy's head is, like, the size of a freakin' watermelon."
RIP
The "Rhinestone Cowboy" Glen Campbell passed away on Aug. 8 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. "It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Glen Travis Campbell, at the age of 81," his Twitter feed announced. He was surrounded by family and friends when he died. Upon hearing the news, some of the biggest names in entertainment took to social media to pay their respects. Brad Paisley thanked him for the "artistry, grace & class you brought to country music." Dolly Parton said he was "one of the greatest voices of all time." Sheryl Crow called it a "huge loss in the world of music." RIP, Glen.
Season-ending engagement
In the end, it was Bryan Abasolo who won the heart of "The Bachelorette" star Rachel Lindsay. The couple got engaged on the season finale of the popular ABC show, which aired on Aug. 7. As usual, the couple made the media rounds all week long, appearing on TV shows and magazine covers. When Bryan proposed, Rachel told People magazine, "It was like an out-of-body experience to hear the words that he was saying to me. I blanked out on what I was saying — I meant it and it was from the heart, but it was just so surreal that it was happening." On Instagram, he penned a lengthy love letter in which he called her "my love, my rock!!" and gushed, "I can't wait to start our new life together full of fun and adventure! I am so blessed and lucky to have you and I promise to cherish you forever! I love you baby!"
