Catch up on the biggest celebrity news of the month right here, starting with Beyonce and Jay-Z. On June 17, word leaked out that Bey and Jay had welcomed their twins, a boy and a girl. A few days later, TMZ reported that the babies were born premature and were "under the lights," which likely refers to the phototherapy that's often used on babies who have jaundice. The kids will be okay, reports indicate. Although the superstar couple has technically not confirmed that the babies have been born, Beyonce's dad, Mathew Knowles, did. On June 18, he tweeted, "They're here!" But the Beyhive wasn't having it and hit out at her dad for sharing the news. Fans felt that only Beyonce or Jay-Z should be the ones making the announcement.

Sexual misconduct scandal

"Paradise" became a mess! On June 4, production on ABC's "Bachelor in Paradise" was suspended amid reports of possible sexual misconduct involving DeMario Jackson and Corinne Olympios. Reports revealed both were inebriated and fooling around in a swimming pool. Staffers apparently filed complaints in the days following the incident, which lead Warner Bros. to investigate whether Corinne might have been too drunk to consent. Corinne maintained that she was a "victim" while DeMario insisted that video footage would vindicate him. After investigators viewed video of the events and interviewed witnesses, they determined that no wrongdoing had occurred. Claims have continued to surface alleging that Corinne was "fully engaged" and lucid throughout the incident. Corinne's lawyers said they are still investigating. ABC resumed filming the show in late June, and on June 26, E! News aired a bombshell interview with DeMario in which he told his side of the story.

George and Amal Clooney welcomed their twins, Ella and Alexander, in London on June 6, making both first-time parents. "Ella, Alexander and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine. George is sedated and should recover in a few days," they announced in a statement. The twins will reportedly be raised in London, at least for now. George's father, journalist Nick Clooney, told the FOX affiliate in Cincinnati that after speaking with the new parents via video chat shortly after the birth, George's mom, Nina, "swears [the twins] have George's nose." Nick also revealed that both children have dark hair. His pal, Rande Gerber, told "Entertainment Tonight," "The kids are the perfect mix of George and Amal. I mean, they really are so cute!"

Love wins

Two weeks after a terrorist attack at her concert in Manchester, England, Ariana Grande returned to the British city to host a star-studded benefit concert with her friends on June 4, with proceeds going to help those affected by the attack. The concert raised more than $13 million for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund. In addition to Ariana, performers included Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Liam Gallagher and Pharrell Williams. "I love you guys so much, and I think the kind of love and unity you're displaying is the medicine the world needs right now," Ariana told the crowd of 50,000. All and all, it was a rousing success.

Mistrial

The high-profile sexual assault trial in which Bill Cosby faced off against one of his dozens of accusers ended in a mistrial on June 17 after a Pennsylvania jury stayed hopelessly deadlocked, unable to come to a unanimous decision. The jury deliberated for six days before a judge announced the mistrial (reports claimed that two of the 12 jurors could not find him guilty). In the middle of all of this, the defense asked for a mistrial, but the judge refused to grant one and told the jury to keep talking it out to try to reach a "guilty" or "not guilty" verdict. The legendary funnyman (whose reputation is all but shot) was charged with three counts of aggravated indecent assault against Andrea Constand. On June 22, the comedian's rep said he's planning to tour and give lectures about the dangers of sex-crime allegations.

Retiring

Three-time Oscar winner Daniel Day-Lewis has broken up with Hollywood. The highly acclaimed actor announced on June 20 that he is retiring from acting. No reason was given to explain why he decided to leave it all behind at the age of 60. A statement from his rep said, "Daniel Day-Lewis will no longer be working as an actor. He is immensely grateful to all of his collaborators and audiences over the many years. This is a private decision and neither he nor his representatives will make any further comment on this subject." He has one more movie set for release this year, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson.

Billion-dollar sale

First babies, now a billion! New dad George Clooney and his BFF Rande Gerber are counting dollar signs after selling their Casamigos Tequila brand for $1 billion. Not exactly chump change. They sold to Diageo, a British alcohol beverage company, it was reported on June 21. Despite the sale, George, Randy and their third partner, Michael Meldman, plan to stay on with the brand, which they started four years ago as a passion project. "If you asked us four years ago if we had a billion dollar company, I don't think we would have said yes," the actor said in a statement after the sale. "This reflects Diageo's belief in our company and our belief in Diageo. We're not going anywhere. We'll still be very much a part of Casamigos. Starting with a shot tonight. Maybe two."

Married!

Jessica Chastian married her longtime boyfriend, Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo, in Italy at his family's estate on June 10. The bride wore a white strapless gown by Alexander McQueen. Gian Luca works for French fashion brand Moncler. According to People, he's also a member of one of Italy's most noble families and his clan still uses their count and countess titles, although the Italian aristocracy is no longer recognized by the government. On June 14, Jessica scolded paparazzi for selling pictures of the wedding.

Secretly married

"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kenya Moore secretly married Brooklyn restaurateur Marc Daly on June 10 in St. Lucia in a very private ceremony. For several days, she kept her groom's identity a secret, telling People magazine, "He didn't sign up for this world." Eventually, she gave in and shared a photo from their beautiful wedding on Instagram. "Marc, you are the best man I have ever known. Thank you for loving me unconditionally. My #rideordie #bonnieandclyde thank you @pallascouture for my amazing wedding dress #fairytale," she captioned the shot.

Drugs in her system

Carrie Fisher had a slew of drugs in her system when she died last year. An autopsy report released on June 19 showed that the "Star Wars" legend had cocaine, heroin and ecstasy in her system when she was hospitalized in December after suffering a major heart attack on an airplane. Whether any of these played a role in her Dec. 27 death, however, isn't known. Just a few days before the report came out, the coroner said that Carrie died of "sleep apnea and other undetermined factors." Carrie's daughter, Billie Lourd, addressed the findings with People magazine: "My mom battled drug addiction and mental illness her entire life. She ultimately died of it. She was purposefully open in all of her work about the social stigmas surrounding these diseases. She talked about the shame that torments people and their families confronted by these diseases. I know my Mom, she'd want her death to encourage people to be open about their struggles. Seek help, fight for government funding for mental health programs. Shame and those social stigmas are the enemies of progress to solutions and ultimately a cure. Love you Momby."

Trump photo fallout

June was not kind to comedian Kathy Griffin. Kathy spent most the month dealing with the fallout from a controversial and provocative photo shoot she did in May in which she held up a bloody mask resembling the decapitated head of President Donald Trump. She was fired from her CNN New Year's Eve hosting gig, lost an endorsement deal and saw the shows on her comedy tour canceled by the venues or promoters. She also received death threats. Then, on June 2, she held a press conference in which she accused the commander-in-chief and his family — who called for her firing and publicly questioned her mental health — of trying to bully her and "ruin" her life and career. "If you don't stand up, you get run over," she said. "What's happening to me has never happened in this great country. A sitting president of the U.S. … is personally trying to ruin my life forever." The secret service even opened an investigation into Kathy's joke gone wrong.

Arrested

Miles Teller was arrested in San Diego for public intoxication on June 18, but it all could have been avoided. The actor was reportedly drinking with his pals when an officer noticed him struggling to stand on a sidewalk. The cop began asking him questions, but Miles refused to cooperate, TMZ claimed. The police officer, rather than take Miles to jail, took him to a center where he was given the option to sleep it off. The actor, however, reportedly became uncooperative. He was then officially arrested and taken to jail. Miles later denied that he was arrested. "Went down to SD to see my buddy before he deployed. I wasn't arrested I was detained bc there was no evidence to charge me with a crime," he tweeted. "Don't believe everything you read, especially from a third party entertainment news source trying to get clicks. Appreciate the concern." He later blamed the bar for over-serving him.
