Summer is right around the corner and that means days spent lounging at the beach, barbeques with family and friends and a bunch of new movies and TV shows to get excited about! Okay, so "Orange Is the New Black" isn't a new show, but it's one of our favorites and we can't wait for Season 5 to premiere on Netflix on June 9, 2017. Word on the street is that the entire season takes place over three days and begins with a terrifying gunshot. (Just please don't say it's Taystee who gets hurt!)

Spidey's back! Tom Holland stars as the third version of the superhero in recent years in this action-packed Marvel thriller that sees teenaged Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, return to high school after fighting with The Avengers. He tries to fit in while honing his talents as a web slinger under Iron Man/Tony Stark's tutelage and takes on a new villain, the Vulture. "Spider-Man: Homecoming," which co-stars Zendaya, Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei and more, hits theaters on July 7, 2017.

We've got three words for you: "Game of Thrones." The HBO hit returns for Season 7 on July 16, 2017. We. Can't. Wait!
Even if you don't remember the time when Princess Diana was the most talked-about member of the royal family and a celebrated fashion icon, you'll probably still enjoy watching this two-part documentary commemorating the 20th anniversary of her death in 1997. Part one of "The Story of Diana" premieres on ABC on Aug. 9, 2017, followed by part two on Aug. 10.
Historical epic "Dunkirk" — written and directed by celebrated auteur Christopher Nolan — tells the story of the evacuation of Allied forces from the beaches and harbor of Dunkirk, France, during World War II. The cast of the film, in theaters on July 21, 2017, is phenomenal: Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branagh, Mark Rylance, Cillian Murphy and, in his acting debut, pop star Harry Styles.
If royal watchers have it right, Meghan Markle will soon be engaged to Prince Harry — and leaving the cast of "Suits." Catch her, Patrick J. Adams and the rest of the show's stars in the USA Network's 16-episode seventh season when it debuts on July 12, 2017.
Calling all sci-fi lovers! "War For the Planet of the Apes" starring Woody Harrelson, Steve Zahn and Andy Serkis as "Caesar" hits theaters on July 14, 2017. We can't wait to see this fourth installment of the "Planet of the Apes" reboot and find out who wins — apes or humans?
Let's face it: We all need a laugh these days. Thanks to Spike TV's "One Night Only," we'll get the giggle-fit we deserve on July 9, 2017, when they roast actor and comedian Alec Baldwin for our viewing pleasure. Doesn't that sound like something we can all enjoy?
What if emojis had secret lives inside our smartphones? That's the premise of the 3D digitally animated comedy "The Emoji Movie." From the trailers, we think this movie looks hilarious, with a strong cast of funny actors including Patrick Stewart and Maya Rudolph. Since the film is yet to be rated, we aren't sure if it's a good fit for kids. Check it out in theaters on Aug. 4, 2017.
Who doesn't love a good Tom Cruise action-adventure film? Premiering June 9, 2017, "The Mummy" co-stars Annabelle Wallis (pictured on set with the A-list actor) and Sofia Boutella as the incarnation of evil herself. After being set free from her 2000-year-old tomb, she unleashes hell on the world and brings Tom's character along on the wild, dark ride.
Another oldie but goodie coming this summer is Season 5 of "Orphan Black" starring Tatiana Maslany as, well, basically everyone on the show. It premieres on BBC America on June 10, 2017. Grab your tissues because it's already been announced that this will be the final season of this mind-bending show.
One of the many female-centric comedies we're excited about this summer is "Rough Night" starring Zoe Kravitz, Jillian Bell, Scarlett Johansson, Ilana Glazer and Kate McKinnon as college friends who reunite for a bachelorette party that goes horribly wrong (and may involve a tiny bit of murder). Catch it in theaters beginning June 16, 2017.
Netflix has us on the edge of our seats in anticipation of its newest original series, "Marvel's The Defenders," which brings together some of the Marvel universe's top superheroes: Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Daredevil and The Iron Fist. Sound familiar? That's because each of these characters have also starred on his or her own Netflix series. Plan on binge-watching the entire first season starting Aug. 18, 2017.
Oscar winner Sofia Coppola goes Southern gothic for "The Beguiled," a Civil War-set thriller she wrote and directed that debuted at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival and hits American theaters on June 23, 2017. Drama and manipulation emerge as an injured Union soldier (played by Colin Farrell) convalesces among a group of genteel ladies (played by Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst and Elle Fanning) at a rural girls school.
In the mood for a big ol' action-based blockbuster? Mark Wahlberg is back to star and Michael Bay returns to direct the fifth installment of the "Transformers" film franchise, "Transformers: The Last Knight," which hits theaters on June 21, 2017.
A young boy named Baby is in way over his head as a getaway driver for criminals in the upcoming action thriller "Baby Driver." The film arrives in theaters on June 28, 2017, and stars Ansel Elgort as well as Jamie Foxx, Jon Hamm and Kevin Spacey.
This family-friendly animated film has been in the works for quite some time. Originally slated to be released in 2016 under the title "Ballerina," it's now been renamed "Leap!" and is set to arrive in theaters on Aug. 30, 2017. Elle Fanning voices Félicie, an orphan who wants nothing more than to become a graceful ballerina. Problems arise when she must bend the rules to achieve her dreams.
Paula Patton stars in the limited drama series "Somewhere Between," which tells the story of a mother who travels back in time to stop the murder of her 8-year-old daughter. It's currently slated to premiere on ABC on July 24, 2017.
If you love TV competitions that involve people with out-of-this-world abilities, then "Superhuman" on FOX is going to be your new favorite series. The premiere is slated for June 12, 2017, and the show will be hosted by "Harold and Kumar" star Kal Penn.
If you like heart-racing psychological thrillers that are strangely heart-warming and involve a plucky young boy who's also a genius, then you're going to love "The Book of Henry." This intense film premieres June 16, 2017, and stars Naomi Watts and Jaeden Lieberher as a mother and son who have to rely on each other to save the life of their young neighbor. Maddie Ziegler and Jacob Tremblay round out the younger cast.
We're basically big fans of anything starring Ryan Reynolds, so his newest action-comedy, "The Hitman's Bodyguard," (also starring Samuel L. Jackson) is no exception. Bonus points for the hilarious trailer that plays Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" as its soundtrack. Check it out on Aug. 18, 2017.
"The Bold Type" is an exciting new series that focuses on three friends who work behind the scenes at one of the country's top teen magazines. Starring Meghann Fahy, Katie Stevens (MTV's "Faking It") and Aisha Dee, this juicy female-empowered show premieres on Freeform on July 11, 2017.
In a tiny southwestern town, the veil between the living and hell has lifted. "Midnight, Texas" is a supernatural thriller with a cast of otherworldy outsiders like Fancois Arnaud and Dylan Bruce. The series airs on NBC beginning July 24, 2017.
Loosely based on the book series by horror master Stephen King, the movie "The Dark Tower" starring Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey promises to keep us on the edge of our seats. This sci-fi western thriller (who knew that was a genre?) arrives in theaters on Aug. 4, 2017.
Finding love is hard, but finding love when you're famous can seem impossible. On July 9, 2017, E! delivers Season 2 of "Famously Single" starring a new cast of unlucky-in-love celebs including Malika Haqq ("Keeping Up with the Kardashians"), Chad Johnson ("The Bachelorette") and many more.
Netflix is bringing the heat this summer with its new original streaming series "GLOW" — a comedy about the lives of female wrestlers in 1980s Los Angeles. The series, which stars Alison Brie ("Community," "Mad Men") premieres on June 24, 2017, and promises lots of big hair and leg warmers.
Based on the best-selling memoir by Jeannette Walls, "The Glass Castle" stars Brie Larson as the daughter of two dysfunctional parents (played by Woody Harrelson and Naomi Watts) who must come to terms with her shocking past. It arrives in theaters on Aug. 11, 2017, and already has people talking.
Coming to theaters on Aug. 25, 2017, is "Bushwick" starring professional wrestler-turned-actor Dave Bautista and Brittany Snow. The film centers around the two as they make their way through military-invaded Brooklyn during a new American civil war where Texas is trying to secede from the United States and the fabric of our country seems to have officially unraveled.
When a group of monks travel across 13th century Ireland carrying a sacred relic, they are pulled into a bloody fight in order to serve their god and keep the relic safe. "Pilgrimage" stars Tristan McConnell and Richard Armitage (pictured), as well as Tom Holland and Jon Bernthal, and arrives in theaters on Aug. 11, 2017.
Showtime is taking us back to the Los Angeles comedy scene of the 1970s. The new dramedy "I'm Dying Up Here" stars Clark Duke ("The Office," "Hot Tub Time Machine") Melissa Leo, RJ Cyler and more. Catch it on the cable network starting June 4, 2017.
When a private detective's dog is stolen, he's thrust into a plot that involves re-stealing drugs for a gang in order to rescue his precious pooch. "Once Upon a Time in Venice" is a hilarious, action-packed adventure that stars Hollywood heavy-hitter Bruce Willis along with John Goodman and Adam Goldberg. It might just be the movie to see this summer. It arrives in theaters on June 16, 2017.
Another series to light up our days is the "pot comedy" (po-medy?) "Disjointed." Starring the crazy-talented Kathy Bates, we're excited to grab some snacks and binge-watch this show on Netflix beginning Aug. 25, 2017.
What could go wrong when four moms decide to take a break from child rearing and get together for a night of fun? Everything, basically! "Fun Mom Dinner" premieres on Aug. 4, 2017, and is packing some serious comedic punch with funnywomen Bridget Everett ("Inside Amy Schumer"), Molly Shannon, Katie Aselton ("The League") and Toni Collette.
